CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (MPG) - Casa Roble blasted into Golden Empire League (GEL) play Friday night, beating Mesa Verde 70-0 on the road at San Juan High School.

The Rams (5-1, 1-0 GEL) have now won five games in a row and outscored their opponents 170-13 combined over the past three games. The Mavericks (5-1, 0-1 GEL) were undefeated coming into the game.

Casa scored 21 points in the first quarter, 28 in the second, 14 in the third and seven in the fourth to ultimately win by 10 touchdowns.

“The boys came ready to play on Friday,” Casa coach Chris Horner told the Messenger Publishing Group. “Offense was firing on all cylinders and defense came out and swarmed the ball carriers and caused some turnovers. They put it out of reach early and everybody got to play. Those are always the best games when we get out healthy and everybody contributes.”
