SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is celebrating the launch of the new S700 low-floor light rail vehicles on Tuesday, Sept. 3, with a press conference followed by a community event.
This marks a significant milestone in the future of public transit in Sacramento, offering enhanced accessibility, comfort, and convenience for riders.

Join SacRT for the unveiling of the state-of-the-art S700 low-floor light rail vehicles, designed to improve the rider experience with cutting-edge technology and easier boarding. The press event will include a brief presentation followed by a commemorative train ride, giving attendees a firsthand look at the future of Sacramento’s public transit.
Following the press event, SacRT will host a community celebration at the same location from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This family-friendly event will feature tours of the new train, including a special ride at noon, live music, food, games and more. It’s a great opportunity for the community to experience the new trains firsthand and join in the festivities.
